Entering the terrace during sunrise, with all of those hot air balloons floating over your head, it really feels like you’re in a fairytale. Bonus: they’ve got the cutest dog, named Izmir. Hot air balloon ride
A must do in Cappadocia? Get on a hot air balloon – duh. Every morning, just before sunrise, hundreds of balloons rise to the skies. The result: the most magical sunset you’ll ever experience. Book your ride during one of your first days in Cappadocia. When it’s too windy, your balloon trip will get cancelled out of safety reasons. So, book in advance, so you’ll have enough time to reschedule if necessary.

Cappadocia can get quite warm. A refreshing dip in a pool is more than welcome after a full day of exploring. Turns out there are some pretty Instagrammable pools in this town as well! Double win! Book a night in one of the Cave Houses or buy a day pass. You might even get lucky and find a pink flamingo in the pool.
