Gems & Instagram hotspots in Lisbon

Dinner at Ponto Final

You’ve probably seen this place on quite a few of your favourite travel influencers feeds. This restaurant just screams ‘take your picture here’. Funny thing is, Restaurante Ponto Final doesn’t even have its own Instagram account. You’ll have to take the ferry, because this place is located in Almada on the other side of the water. Make sure to make a reservation beforehand and ask them for a seat next to the water with an amazing view of Portugal’s most famous bridge. Drink some wine (it’s cheap!), eat some fresh fish. But be careful: don’t move your seat too much after a few too many drinks. You’ll be swimming back to shore. Don’t forget to say cheers the Portuguese way: a nossa!

The Tower of Belém (and a secret drone spot)

In for some culture? Visit the Tower of Belém. Just five short kilometers west of Lisbon city. You can get there by Uber, cab or rent one of those electric scooters. Convenient and fun! Go early, to beat the crowds and to get the best lighting. Done exploring the tower itself? Head over to the monument next to it. Doesn’t look like much, but get a drone in the air (be careful, the airport is super close) to reveal a hidden treasure. Hungry? The best pasteis de nata are found here.

Please note: the tower itself is closed on Sundays.

Wandering around in Alfama

Lisbon is famous for its adorable homes decorated with bright coloured tiles. You’ll find most of those tiles in Alfama, one of the neighbourhoods of Lisbon. Go on an adventure to find the best ones! You’ll end up with a seriously cool collage. Or a crazy amount of content. Same, same, but different, am I right? Alfama is also known for it’s cute streets. You’ll probably get lost at some point. But guess what! It’s totally worth it! Too many Instagram Hotspots in this part of Lisbon 😉

Feast your eyes at one of the many miradouros

Or viewpoints, in English. The city of Lisbon is home to a LOT of these. Each one even prettier than the previous. Again: get there early, because you won’t be the only one trying to get the shot. Or wait around until sunset. It’s magical.

Don’t forget

There are so much more amazing places to check out when visiting Lisbon. Get yourself some ice cream at Atelier Gelati for example. Or ink yourself up. We strongly recommend Vanessa Bornemann, who has an amazing studio at Pensão Amor (a former stripclub), close to Pink Street – which is a sight in its own.
